8/7/24 Wednesday
After a scary time at camp with 40 mph winds and gusts and trees over the camper, we decided at 10:00 p.m. to pack up and go to a safer place to spend our last night in Lovell. Within 25 minutes we were hooked up and heading down the street to a Conoco gas station where they allow overnight parking. There was a couple next to us at camp that decided they would do the same. They parked next to us at Conoco and said that it was a smart move...
We headed on to Cody and stopped at Walmart to get restocked. We then stopped at Buffalo Bill dam. It was the tallest dam before Hoover dam was built. It is quite impressive.
This Guy (who works at the Dam) looks like a friend in Florida who passed away..
Then we went on to our next campground between Cody and Yellowstone. It is nice to have full hookups again to get laundry caught up. Our neighbors seem real nice. It's possible that they will come to Whiddens (in Florida) The winter of 25/26. That would be cool.
Our plans for this week are to get into Yellowstone as many times as possible, doing lots of road trips and making it to Grand Tetons and Jackson hole and hopefully the Cody rodeo.
We actually saw another Arcadia go by the dam today. That's the first one I have seen... Hope they love theirs as much as we love ours.
We have no Wi-Fi at our site so we have to take the tablet with us to try to catch up the blog. There is a restaurant at the campground with Wi-Fi that we can use.
