A view from my posting spot this morning.. about the active fire close by: I saw at least 15 fire vehicles go by while sitting here. Hopefully it will be under control soon..
Today we went back into Yellowstone and went to the North entrance at Mammoth Hot Springs. We drove about 220 miles today.. on the way back to the camper, we saw a mama grizzly with her twin cubs. The ranger shot her a couple times to scare her away from the road. He said that she's getting too used to being on the road and they're afraid she or one of her cubs might get hit.. that was the extreme high of this trip.
They were darting some bison for whatever reason
The fire is still going but not any closer to us. Thank the Lord! God is so good!!
