HEADING HOME!! Our last stop was the Great Smoky Mountains National Park..
We stopped at buc-ees in Sevierville and visited with our Florida friends for a few minutes.
After buc-ees, we stopped at Bass pro.
We made it to our camppsite after a very stressful ride with all the traffic. The best part was seeing a bear on our way in.
We decided to try to get to clingman's dome on Saturday. The ride up wasn't so bad until we got up there and tried to park. There were so many people there that it was just horrible. No place to park and just extremely stressful bumper to bumper.
We made it back to camp and had a nice campfire.
Sunday morning we decided to get up and leave to go to Cades cove Hoping to avoid the crowd. It was a pretty ride. We got to the loop and here is all the traffic again. We saw some turkey and deer.
We do have to say that there was more people here than any of the State and National Parks we have been in these last 2 months.
They could sure take some lessons from the National Parks out west.
The traffic was horrible and people were very inconsiderate of others. The rangers could move people along a whole lot better than what they do.
We sure can't wait to get home to Virginia! It will be nice to park the camper for a few weeks before Florida. We both agree that this trip has cured us from wanting to go out west anytime soon again.
All of the places we visited out west on this trip were very nice. We enjoyed them very much.
There's just no place like home!
